Martin, a researcher, arrives in a remote Mexican village to record a dying, ancient indigenous language. He finds the last two speakers of the language, but they refuse to speak to each other. Perplexed, Martin later realises that there is more to the story.


Ernesto CONTRERAS was born in Veracruz, Mexico in 1969 and graduate from the Center for Studies in Communication Sciences and the University Center for Cinematographic Studies (CUEC) of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. In 2007, his first feature, [Blue Eyelids], was nominated for the Caméra d'Or at the Cannes. His feature documentary, [Being: Café Tacvba], premiered in 2010. In 2015, his third film, [The Obscure Spring], won the Grand Jury Prize at the Miami Film Festival. [I Dream in Another Language] is his latest film.
